A Blank Slate

The room presented a challenging layout due to the deep, narrow, and unevenly sized alcoves. Our objective was not only to address these spatial constraints but also to highlight the fireplace and the stunning window, turning them into standout features of the room.

Meticulous Design

Concealing the alcoves and integrating hidden storage would not only significantly enhance the room's overall shape but also greatly optimize the utilization of space within the alcoves.

Feature Window

We replaced and extended the window sill, which now spans over the concealed radiator, effectively reflecting additional light into the room and contributing to a more defined framing of the window.

Transformed

A salvaged fireplace became the focal point of the room, encased within Georgian-style paneling for a timeless and elegant frame.

Elevated Style

Completed with the serene shade of Eau De Nile from Edward Bulmer paints, the elevated transformation of the room is breathtaking, crafting a tranquil and inviting space for relaxation.

Hidden Storage

The alcove spaces now serve a dual purpose, offering two expansive and highly functional shelved storage areas, along with a convenient space to store logs for the fireplace. Additionally, the television can be easily retracted into the paneling when not in use, maximizing both practicality and aesthetics.
